I agree with you whole heartily.

Juan Williams is not my favorite FOX commentator, but he has stood up for Herman Cain through thick and thin.

I suspect he has walked in Herman Cain's shoes. They are about the same age and have had more than likely the same struggles.

I have a new respect for Juan Williams, and my respect for Charles Krauthammer, Karl Rove, Brit Hume and Sean Hannity have diminished substantially.

I think this entire sordid mess has hit many good African-American men right where they live. Bad enough to be a white male accused of sexual harassment in this day and age, but when it’s a black man? The horrific old stereotypes of oversexed, crazed black men preying on innocent white (especially blond) women are still alive.

There have been many times when I have groaned, “Oh Juan!” when he’s been totally wrong on an issue, but the pain is palpable in his face and his entire demeanor on this issue. I do believe he’s a good man, hopefully he’ll come to realize who the real racists are.

Juan is right now going on about something liberal and yet he’s wearing the lovely English poppy ornament that everyone wears on Remembrance Day (Veterans Day) in England. He must have been over there in the last week. And yet he is yammering on about something liberal.
