Godfathers is his entire claim to fame?

Well, no. He was also a rocket scientist for the U.S. Navy (in a civilian capacity). Before Godfathers Pizza (which I find uninspiring for pizza), he also served creditably in executive roles at Pillsbury and Burger King (heading up the Philly region, making him a Burger Duke or Burger Prince, or maybe even a Burger Meister). He also headed up the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City. You might have heard that he spent three years heading the National Restaurant Association.

If you really cared, you could have read FR or Mr. Cain's website. Chances are you knew at least half of what I listed (which was not exhaustive), making your question appear disingenuous.

His entire life, apart from a stint in the Navy, has been in the private sector. He ran twice unsuccessfully for public office before. He knows a world career politicians have no real experience with. And the breadth of resume is one that many people would like to have. The controversy over his stint with the NRA is threatening to overshadow every thing else. We should look at the whole picture and then decide how much weight to assign to alleged sexual harrassment incidents 15 or so years ago.
