Anything to get a good camera shot - even if it means inciting a riot to do so!

Portland isn't known for rioting. Its usually pretty safe down there so long as you stay out of the hip-hop district. Though lately with the Occupy idiots, the local criminals have taken advantage and its less safe today than it was last year.

Besides, the two parks the Occupy clowns are in are practically right on top of the downtown Police Station. Anyone who gets out of hand won't have to be hauled far.

I won't go down there until they are cleared out.

But they will be cleared out sometime in the next couple of days -- at the leisure of the Portland Police.

The local surplus stores were cleared out of gas masks -- the police laughed and said they wouldn't be needed.

If anyone starts something, it will be the protesters, not the Portland Police, which is as it should be.

They have backup from the surrounding cities and counties. Its going to be a very boring evening. I'm having a good chuckle at this "OMG! Deadline passed!" stuff. It was never intended to be one.

Hats off to the police; they created a plan that took all the so-called "tension" off. If you watch the livestreams or broadcasts, the cops look bored out of their minds.

They asked one of the Occupy "leaders" if she was willing to be arrested, and she said, "No, I have to go to work tomorrow."

Too funny!
