The Greeks were ordered to drop their referendum on measures that reduce their country to a sort of Manchukuo, with EU commissars "on the ground", installed in each ministry, drawing up lists of state assets to be liquidated to pay foreign creditors.

And how are these 'commissars' actually *MAKING* the Greeks do anything? Do they have mystic mind-control powers that brainwash Greeks at a distance? It's one guy in one office... and if no one listened to him, the Greeks would do nothing.

All the EU can do is cut off Greece's money 'fix'. For Greece is an debt addict, spending more than they take in. And *GREECE* finds that it's in their best interest to keep getting their regular fix of easy money.

No one has forced the Greek nation or it's people to do anything.

I see you don't have a shred of evidence to support your position. Tell us just how there was a logical progression for Greece to now have an appointed prime minister? or even worse, Italy also not only having an appointed prime minister but also a completely appointed government with all the powers, with the elected government utterly sidelined? Why are all these commissars even in existence?? And why do you keep refusing to listen to the facts concerning the "bailouts"—to wit that not a single country that now received them wanted bailouts in the first place, and that these are actually not bailouts but loans? (so don't call them "fixes", please. You ever heard of coercive lending?)

WADR, you are sounding like you are against the republican form of government and are in favor of technocratic authoritarianism. Not only that, but you are also in favor of the social market and against the free market. Neither position is in accord with US conservative principles.
