I’m confused. You say he began an affair with Ginther in 1980 but then say he met her in 1981.
I know his track record isn’t the greatest but look at it this way: in today’s world, he would be considered a victim - teacher taking advantage of him while he was her student. So, a good analyst might say his problems stem back to that.
