Newt Gingrich crushes Cain, Romney, Perry and Paul in California PPP poll
The State Column ^ | 11/15/11 | staff

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has crushed pizza magnate Herman Cain, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Texas Governor Rick Perry and Texas Congressman Ron Paul in a California Public Policy Polling poll of Republican primary voters. With 33 percent of the votes, Gingrich is 10 percentage points in front of Romney and 11 percentage points in front of Cain. Gingrich is 27 percentage points ahead of Perry and 28 percentage points ahead of Paul. The California PPP poll is the latest evidence that Gingrich is benefiting from Cain’s trouble with sexual harassment allegations stemming from his tenure as head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s.

Have they, (the American people), figured out yet that the media is yanking them, raising up candidates this week, just to dash them against the rocks next week until they get the one they can beat, or worse.... use?

Run Herman, RUN!!!!

May God guide our course and strengthen our will.

I don’t care who Californians vote for as long as it’s not Mitt!

Mitt can’t win without California.

Romney + Perry cannot win the nomination. Romney + Newt cannot win the nomination.

Romney + Perry + Newt can still win.

Cain needs IN + MO + KY + MN or MI to go over 270.

Mitt is down to 150, and that’s with WA + AK + CO. Could be as low as 126.

Mitt has no choice.

He absolutely must have CA. His base support in the NE plus Minnesota and Michigan, and Utah and Nevada is only about a quarter of the nation.

A Mitt loss to Cain in CA is disastrous for his campaign.

Truly our side is this stupid.

I’m so sure the MSM and Dems and Obama won’t attack Newt once he’s in the lead and has vanquished the other. Truly I’m so sure of this. They’ll love Newt. Hey, we’re on the Newt train now and have forgotten Scuzzifavor and Pelosi mingling.

So, I continue my sarcasm.

Cain is toast. (note we turned our backs on him).
Perry is toast. (note we turned our backs on him).
Bachman is 4%
Palin is not running.
Santorum is 1%
Romney we all hate, but will be the nominee.
But we’ll just get all cranky in the end and since we don’t have a perfect candidate, we’ll leave the ballot blank to protest Romney and put Obama back in power to finish off our once great country. Genius of a plan. How did we think of such a brilliant plan? It’s so smart I’d have thought it was the Dems plan all along.

This from the state that wouldn't even fend off the crying Nicky Diaz/Gloria All-red hit against (very moderate) Meg Whitman.

Meg Whitman couldn't by the Governors office with $160,000,000 of her own fortune, after the cheap broad was found to have illegals running around the inside of one of her mansions...

Meg should move to Texas, where illegal aliens are more welcome.

Not necessarily.

Depends on how strong Mitt is in the NE. If Mitt hangs onto about a quarter of the total EC votes, then it’s a battle between Cain and Newt for the Perry states.

If Newt and Romney split the establishment support, Newt can’t win without the NE. Cain can, that’s the difference. Cain doesn’t need CA, or the NE, provided he can hang onto what he has, and win a few more states. With CA and the NE split, the nomination process becomes far easier for Cain.

Well that should provide more incite into who Gigrich appeals to. Californians. Now they are my ideal conservatives.

Yo Newt—you cannot outrun your RINO roots.

lol

Romney hasn’t got a chance in heck of winning the nomination at this point.

Romney will lose the South by 20+ points each
He is down to low single digits in Texas
and is now down 10 in California

Where does he get the delegates to win? new hampshire? lol

You can’t lose nearly all the biggest states and the entire south and the midwest and still win, the numbers just don’t add up for him.

If Newt wins enough to split it up, it goes to the convention. No matter who is ahead at that point, if it goes to the convention, my bet is then on Romney because the Party hates the conservative base more than it hates Obama (new tag line!). Hence, Newt and Perry are Romney’s best friends if they keep Cain from winning outright.

Really? You think now that all but Newt and Romney are left the MSM and the Chicago Machine will just let Newt off with a pass? It’s easy to criticize logic, harder to criticize and produce a counter version of predictive events. What say you?

That's hilarious...Kalifornia has the "illegal" market cornered.

Funny joke I heard...what's the difference between Kalifornia's illegals and Texas' illegals? Texas' illegals actually work :)

With the CA primary in June it’s a guess as to who will be in or out by that time. Gingrich is on an uptick now but lets see how long that last.

Look, if Cain and Perry fail to score any wins in Iowa or New Hampshire they are out of the race. Their base of support will evaporate as it always happens. The only question is where their supporters will go and I don’t think they will go to a Washington insider/career politician like Newt. Cain must win in Iowa but Newt is stealing his support.
