Old news. Newt already answered this question. Freddie Mac contracted w/his consulting co. to deal w/the secondary loan crisis Mac knew was looming. Newt’s firm recommended specific steps to avoid the crisis and Mac ignored the advise.

I knew a guy doing “Historical Consulting’ for GM back in the 90’s. Gm KNEW the pensions were going to break them in next decade or so, and were trying to convince the Union to switch to 401K plans.
