LOS ANGELES (CBS) A coalition of labor unions and community groups have announced plans for a massive march in support of the Occupy LA encampment.
More than 1,000 protesters are planning to shut down streets in downtown Los Angeles at 7 a.m. Thursday.
They will meet at the Bank of America plaza on Hope Street and march to the corner of Figueroa and Fourth streets, where they plan to shut down the intersection and drop large banners from nearby overpasses.
Demonstrators say rush hour drivers should expect serious delays and street closures in downtown Los Angeles near the 110 Freeway.
There will be additional marches around noon Thursday.
This is what Bolshevism looks like.
Arrest these law breaking losers.
This is gonna piss off some folks. This CANNOT end well.
The 1% are inconveniencing the 99% who want no more of their treating our cities as their Marxist playgrounds.
All it takes is one drunk/inattentive/p!$$ed-off driver (road-rage is endemic in LA, I understand) to put an end to that nonsense...
Not advocating - just sayin’....
Throw a couple of willie peter grenades in amonst them. Let them try to get away from that. I’m sick to death of their ilk.
Seems like it’s more like 1% of 1% inconveniencing the 99.99%.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day.
They are moving from provocation to provocation. No, it will not end well. For anyone, once it starts.
My wife is NOT looking forward to her drive into work tomorrow morning.
How many people will be in jeopardy of losing their jobs because of the lowlifes blocking workers trying to get to work?
How many criminals (other than the protesters) will get away with crimes because emergency vehicles can't get through?
How many will die because emergency vehicles can't get through?
How much did the permit cost to allow the traffic to be blocked?
Was it a payment made under the table by Soros or Acorn?
The B of A Plaza is right across the street from where I live downtown. I am leaving shortly and will not be here for the ruckus tomorrow. Last week about 1,000 of them marched and held a rally there, right at 5 p.m. rush hour. It was a mess and you could tell people leaving in their cars were frightened. Probably 98% of them wore SEIU shirts and carried professional signs. I went out on my balcony and yelled expletives at them, finding my inner Clint Eastwood “get offa my lawn” character. There was a ton of law enforcement present. They didn’t react to me but did seem to grin a tiny bit every time I yelled.
The OWS bums draw the line at SOMETHING!
Destruction of the country, drug use, taking a dump on the flag, promoting Communism, not paying their fair share in permit and clean up costs, breaking the law in dozens of ways, rape....none of these things seem bad or wrong to them.
Finally, there is one thing where they actually recognize the concept of right and wrong.
Although, I was beginning to think that it was one of their major goals to break every law in the book......
I personally would take a personal day or a sick day.
As Jon and Ken call it....”Occupoo LA”.
Each 10 car drivers could get out and beat the crap out of one protester. Or just make a citizen's arrest and put him in someone's trunk for later processing. At the police station, of course.
