Liberty University is a very good school if you can put up with all of its personal conduct and dress codes.
Dancing is forbidden and the dress code is rather extreme.
Are you sure you’re not confusing it with another school? The Liberty girls are not quite dressing like hoochie mamas, but some of them come mighty close. I live about 1/2 mile from Liberty.
The exceptions in the rules would seem to largely negate the value of the rules change.
To comply with the rules apparently will require a great deal of weapons handling for people who need to do routine things such as attending class, going to the bathroom, getting a meal, and the like, possibly causing a need to secure and then retrieve the weapon from a vehicle several times per day, thus potentially making thefts from cars an inviting and rewarding prospect as well as increasing the potential exposure to unintentional, negligent discharges.
Much better to allow people to carry all the time, only requiring weapons handling for most (absent the necessity to change attire to participate in sports) once in the morning and again once in the evening.
Collared shirts for males is extreme? Liberty has changed the rules and the dress code is pretty liberal.
Could ya look in on my wonderful grandson Kyle once in a while? He is in his second year with the Sounds of Liberty and a 4.0 student. Just kidding!
A very proud grandmother
