I guess Perry now thinks he is running for minority leader of the house....
So he wants to debate someone that isnt even running for president?
Can these people concentrate on Obama and stop with these stupid debate stunts?
Perry has the right idea now.
Every one running for office wipes the floor with him in a debate, even nutburger Ron Paul.
Perry has got to debate someone that will make him look good by comparison, even if that means it has to be someone not running.
This is a scene from “Dumb and Dumber”.
I’ve been saying all along that we need bi partisan debates. There’s no better way of telling whether a candidate can handle the opposition than putting them up against actual opposition.
Who cares what this clown wants.
Well, it’s a creative idea, but I doubt that she’ll take him up on it.
Posting useless, childish insults isn’t exactly up there with rocket science and brain surgery, friend.
Is he trying to make Pelosi more or less relevant?
She could always beg off to concentrate on her insider trading portfolio.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
NO WAY this morons handlers would ever allow that to happen and even if it did, what does it show.
I agree with another poster who said we are running against O dupa, not the minority leader, or even the janitor.
Get over yourself. It was meant as a joke. Get a life.
“Pelosi fires back at ‘60 Minutes’ report on ‘soft corruption’”
“Pelosi and her husband participated in an initial public offering of Visa in 2008, according to CBS. They bought 5,000 shares at the initial price of $44; two days later, shares were trading at $64, CBS said.”..........
Yeah, imagine the both of them "losing" their train of thoughts during the debate.
Why? For what purpose? This is nothing more than a distraction intended to draw attention he is otherwise not receiving.
Plus, Nan would eat him alive. Do you honestly think she’d play patty-cake with him when he starts to hem and haw all over the place?
You must have missed this Perry/ Paul exchange at the Spartanburg debate last Saturday -
I am not sure of the wisdom of Perry trying to challenge Pelosi for anything.
When is she going to be tried and convicted?
I think Perry has terrible advisors. In fact, CW, you seem to be his smartest supporter--maybe you should offer your advice to him?
If Repubs keep up the BS Nasty Nan will be Speaker Again.
I think it’s perfect to see how he would deal with her draconian views.
I’ll bet she says no. And even goes futher and makes some smarta** remark to go with it.
Draw attention to yourself and force the MSM’s hand.
Thinking outside the box.
I like it. That’s the kind of stuff that will keep Perry alive. Let’s see if the MSM ignores this.
Maybe Governor Perry should prepare for debating fellow Republican presidential candidates instead of debating the dimwitted House Minority Leader.
When will they realize that jumping on CW’s threads with little posts that I guess they think are clever doesn’t do anything but annoy people.
It does not make Cain look better, people. In fact, your tactics reflect badly on Cain.
Here’s a couple of sharply contrasting images...
Newt sitting beside SanFranNan chatting up global warming.
Perry challenging SFN to debate the issue of Washington DC out of control and cutting it in half.
Perry actually thinking Pelosi would debate him (dumb).
Perry staging a stunt to raise his dwindling chances (dumber).
Yep, and her “smarta’’ remark” would actually fit in well with comments here of that type...
Personally, I think Gov Perry has gotten a “bad rap” and a lot of bad breaks and, yes, made a few highly visible “unforced errors.” While I am a Cain supporter, I don't think Perry is anywhere near as bad a candidate as some here have proclaimed. He is VERY strong on States Rights and 2nd Amendment ...both very important to me.
I live in VA and I think many of us non-Texans are too quick to condemn Perry's stand on allowing “illegals” to attend Texas colleges/universities at in-state rates. While I am not “wild” about that situation; I have to wonder just what Perry, as a leader, could be expected to do; given that the Federal government continues to not enforce our borders and to place obstacles in the paths of states that attempt to do so. It appears the vast majority of Texans supported the in-state tuition rates; based on their legislator's votes. I think a whole lot of this controversial situation is more understandable when it is put in the perspective of the long history that Texans have w/their friends and neighbors who are of Mexican descent.
I'm probably going to get flamed; however, I sure would like to see all the sniping going on between Perry and Cain supporter come to an end. It's not helpful.
Debate this senile moonbat on Congressional inside trading. She and her husband have done great by that. Same for some other Congress Critters
Using the Dennis Miller test (Dennis jumped off the Cain train because he didn’t think Cain is electable. I agree),
Anyway, using the electibility test.
Romney: probably electable but the enthusiasm among conservatives would be about like it was for McCain, maybe worse.
Gingrich: probably electable but all his prior mistakes that made him a dirty word on Free Republic would come back to haunt him.
Bachmann: would get the staunch conservative vote, but would turn a lot of middle of the roaders off with her odd husband and other things.
Santorem: Maybe, but people just don’t seem to warm to the guy. Why are two guys running who couldn’t even win a senate seat?
Huntsman: Might get some democrat votes.
Cain: His campaign has peaked and his support is showing cracks. His knowledge of issues is poor and his choice of a campaign manager doesn’t bode well for who he would choose in his administration. He might squeak through but I’d have to drag my aching carcass to the polls. He would not pick up any black vote from Obama. It’s iffy on his wife’s vote.
Perry: Extremely electible. There are no skeletons and the more you know him, you better you like him. He takes on Obama and is 95% right on everything that matters to conservatives.
Just my unbiased opinion.
1.Nancy is not running for President
2.Perry's debating skills are terrible.

Dear Leader Pelosi,
After reading about House Minority Whip Steny Hoyers outburst over my Overhauling Washington plan, I wonder if his obstructionism reflects your own opposition and that of the Democratic Caucus to urgent reforms the American people so vehemently demand.
After increasing the debt by $4 trillion in less than three years, no one can believe that Americans are satisfied with business as usual, and that a permanent political class in Washington can get us out of the mess you and your colleagues have created.
A part-time Congress with half the pay would still make $38,000 a year more than the average American family. Do you truly oppose lawmakers spending more time in their districts? Is it so important for the Washington power brokers to build their fiefdoms of influence, including providing bailouts to Wall Street while businesses on Main Street are being boarded up every day?
Here is the fundamental question: do you believe Washington is broken? Before answering that question, consider these facts:
1) the Washington Metro area is now the most affluent metropolitan area in the country because lobbyists, contractors, elected officials and bureaucrats have been insulated from the economic ruin prevalent in the private sector;
2) Congressional office budgets have doubled since 2000 while employers all across America are laying off workers;
3) Our nations total debt is nearing the size of our nations economy, increasing our dependence on competitors like China;
4) The number of Americans out of work has increased by more than two million since January 2009, despite the massive stimulus package Democratic leaders promised would revive the economy, and;
5) on top of the job-killing spending policies of the previous Congress, employers are faced with a staggering $1.1 trillion in costs related to federal regulatory compliance.
Do you truly believe the answer to massive debt, over-regulation and bloated big-government policies is to continue to protect the status quo, which enriches and empowers Washington insiders at the expense of the American People?
My plan would overhaul Washington, eliminating certain agencies and reducing the size and scope of others. It will force Congress to make the tough decisions to balance the budget or require a further reduction in their pay. It would end lifetime appointments to future appointees to the federal bench. I dont want to tinker around the edges when the American People demand a complete overhaul of Washington.
Let me conclude with an invitation: I am in Washington Monday and would love to engage you in a public debate about my Overhaul Washington plan versus the congressional status quo. I think it would be a tremendous service to the American public to see a public airing of these differences. Let the people decide. If Monday doesnt work, perhaps we could find a time in Iowa over the course of the next month to discuss these issues in front of the people of Americas heartland.
Should you choose not to respond or engage in such a healthy discussion, I will take it to mean you will continue your obstructionist ways in the face of much needed Washington reform.
Governor of Texas
Thank you for posting and for your reasoned comments.
Can we post the letter.
Thanks. overlapping reply.
“Can we post the letter.”
I don’t see why not! I transcribed it from the PDF — I don’t think ???? I made any typos.
Looks like Gov Perry has decided to apply his own version of asymmetrical warfare to his campaign. I’ll give him an A for creativity.

Adding another point
HE has the FIRE in the belly to DEFEAT Obama and his minions working so feverishly to destroy America.
Amazing how no OTHER candidate has put a plan in play to TOTALLY hold Congress accountable. Only 17% (?), believe Congress is working.
I think this is a GREAT PLAN!!!!!
Wow. Love the letter. Of course, she will not agree but it is a good opportunity to define the differences in the party.
He’s not afraid to smack a witch. :-)
Much as it’s begun to seem to the contrary, our candidate will be running against the Obama administration, not fellow republicans.
