It is interesting that as I understand it, the KJV was translated to English so that for the first time people could hear and read Scripture in their own language. It was right after the Reformation when the Roman Church in England became the Church of England. All worship was thereafter to be in English and not Latin, as when under the Roman church. It was also the time the Book of Common Prayer came into being for use by the English church.

The King Jim Version was a re-make of the Geneva Bible 1599 w/out all of the Marginal notes. It(KJV) was HEAVY into the concept of the “devine right of Kings”.
