We posted a video from Fox News yesterday showing Herman Cain asking how to say something in "Cuban," as though that were a language.
The Miami Herald has an even more uncomfortable video from Cain's trip to Florida, in which the candidate seemed flummoxed by and his staff tried to block reporters from asking elementary questions about Cuba policy:
His campaign kept reporters at bay, and when asked about the Cuban Adjustment Act and the so-called wet-foot, dry-foot policy, Cain seemed stumped. The policy allows Cuban immigrants who have made it to U.S. soil to stay. Continue Reading
Wet-foot, dry-foot policy? Cain asked. His press handlers interrupted as Cain diverted his course and ducked back into the building. Later, when he emerged, he was asked again by another reporter. Cain didnt answer.
Gotta run, gentlemen, he said. ...
A Fox News reporter asked Cain what he thought of President Barack Obamas easing of travel restrictions to Cuba.
Cain said that was a gotcha question.

It just involves Cain’s ignorance of almost any serious issue.
CONSERVATIVES: Do not let the ENEMY MEDIA destroy our candidates. Do not be their USEFUL IDIOTS by posting their stories without using a disclaimer in the title and in your response. Even though we all have favorites, do not use the arguments of the ENEMY MEDIA in support of your criticisms of candidates. Always, always first, put the ENEMY MEDIA in their place, then proceed to make your argument. [This is jobim, and I approve this message.]
I see the Newt camp is desperate to diver attention from this.

What was that funny line all the Newtbots were trotting out” something about “Self immolation of our canidates”?

I guess I will take an honest man who doesn’t pretend to know all the answers over a corrupt dishonest one that pretends he does.
I am so sick of Politico.
Yeah they don’t have to look for dirt. Just ask him a serious question.
He was 16 during the Bay of Pigs invasion. Wonder if he remembers THAT?
Your candidate has serious egg on his face, and all you can do is steer attention back at Newt.
Little do you know that you chastise some on this forum for doing exactly what you yourself hypocritically did in the same post. (Still laughing)
I dunno about all that, but one thing is clear: if you want to campaign in South Florida, it is absolutely vital that you know your Cuba policy answers. This isn't a 'gotcha' question: it's the number one issue amongst a population that you have in your pocket if you can at least discuss the points coherently.
This is a total gaffe on the part of Cain's staff -- he should have been ready for this.
Hmm Rush Limbaugh says you’re analyisis of this are moronic. I guess I have to agree.
RUSH: Now, he said that twice. He said, Well, Im for collective bargaining as long as its not collective hijacking, and as long as it doesnt create an undue burden on the state. Again, the attempt here is to make it sound as though he doesnt know what hes talking about. But on Libya, when you listen to the whole interview, the whole question and answer, he ended up getting Libya right. His biggest mistake was admitting he was having a hard time focusing. He shouldnt have said that in front of the enemy, the enemy being the editorial board, but he said Im having a hard time focusing here.
Federal workers do have collective bargaining. Some of them do. Some federal workers do have collective bargaining. Its not the same as in some of the states. For example, the air traffic controllers do have collective bargaining over their wages, and some federal workers only have collective bargaining rights over work conditions. Some of them have collective bargaining rights over other aspects, but not wages. Its all over the ballpark. It is a mistake to say that federal workers, as the editorial board member here said, dont have collective bargaining rights; some of them do.
In any event, substantively Cain was right. Substantively Cain got it right on collective bargaining for federal unionized workers, and the editors got it wrong. And even the Journal Sentinel article that accompanies the video eventually admitted that Cain got it right in his answer and their editors had it wrong. But no matter, they are attempting to portray via the video here a slow, ignorant, uninformed, unsure of himself candidate who really is just out classed and is just totally out of his league. And the video, under that impression, under those auspices, has gone viral, and thats the thought accompanying it with everybody who sends it out.

This is $@#&$(@$^
I’m sure Cain knows they speak Spanish in Cuba and this was just another case of the Liberal Media and their liberal tools in the RINO Romney camp trying to destroy the credibility of a decent candidate over trivia.
That horse’s ass in the Oval Office and his side kick Biden make slips even worse than this every day.
Its not even worth the effort to mention.
FOX, under Ailes and his acoyltes Kraphammer, Rove, Perrion et al, are shilling for Romney and the GOP establishment in order to undermine conservatives. In the process they are handing rthe general election over to Obama.
They couldn’t get Cain on the sex charges. They are trying to Alinsky him by mocking his “stupidity.”.
And they sound successful. Idiot media people calling a rocket scientist stupid because he doesn’t know political terms. The guy is campaigning 24/7 and doesnt have every fact in his brain. He doesn’t need to. We want wisdom to make the right decisions when presented with the facts!
We don’t need a autistic savant filled with facts!
You people falling for this are begging for nominee rominey.
Cain is a leader, Cain does not need to be a genius on everything,
He will surround himself with the right people as all leaders do!!!!!
He is not a career politician!!!! Which is what we want or so I thought!!!
Did you even watch the video?
I’m convinced some people want to stay in ignorance. This isn’t a “gotcha” question, this is a very basic question for someone on the right to answer: Do you, or do you not want to allow legal immigration from people who make it over for Cuba?
What “charade” is that?
Did Cain ever claim to be a foreign policy expert? NO
I still trust him over every other candidate to pick the right people and make the right decisions.
Character is more important than knowledge.
Trying to circumvent the subject over to Cain’s support for Union “collective bargaining”, you should start your own thread here and convince the Forum why you think we need to support Cain in this Liberal ideology.
I’m sure you know how to start your own thread don’t you? Or is your main goal to just disrupt other threads you don’t agree with?
