I get the impression from this that they think anyone who lives in a rural area must be crazy....glad Ohio didn’t make the list.

Maybe Ohio should be on the list after the vote on Issue 2.

The does appear to be a bias in favor of the East and West coasts. If you can't find widespread depression in California these days, you just aren't looking all that hard. Between the inland cities with 30% unemployment rates and the Zoloft-besotted housewives of suburban L.A., it's kind of a target-rich environment.

Here in New England, we've got legions of unemployed fisherman, loggers, construction workers as well as a thousand colleges and universities filled with a million kids racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt with only the slightest hope of ever finding a job. Besides, they're still mostly teenagers and that's the Golden Age of Angst, right there.
