Nothing of course will come of it, but unless he’s put his funds into a blind trust he doesn’t really have a legitimate denial of influence.

That's my point. He is getting nicked to death by people repeating a lie. They have no idea if his investments are in a blind trust or not. They just decided to clump him together with Pelosi, along with ONE other person - a Republican, and then stretched the truth so Pelosi wouldn't look so bad.

The information is there in his financial disclosure to support his assertion that it's "been years" since he personally did a trade - or not. Just about all of his single stock investments appear to be in an IRA.

Time for people to pick it apart and either put up or shut up as to Boehner's complicity in "insider trading".

If they were in a blind trust he would have said so, I am quite certain. And this is the reason that people have blind trusts.

As I understand it, trades were made in his account—that is the whole point to the story. He’s just claiming that, without having the benefit of a blind trust to demonstrate it, he was not personally involved in the trades made in his name.
