Gingrich hints he may release details on Freddie Mac payments today
CBS ^ | 111811 | Walt Cronkite

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said Thursday that he's trying to figure out how much money he made from controversial housing giant Freddie Mac and suggested he may release the information as early as Friday.

Gingrich's comments, in an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren, represent the latest shift in his campaign's response to a Bloomberg News story earlier this week that said the former House speaker made as much as $1.6 million from Freddie. Initially, the Gingrich campaign promised to release details about the payment, then appeared to back off that pledge.

Freddie Mac and its sister quasi-governmental agency, Fannie Mae, are under scrutiny for mortgage lending practices that are believed to have led to an inflation of the housing bubble.

The number of anti-Capitalist Freepers who have suddenly decided to make themselves known, that's who.

Many are from the “Everyone is SCUM but Herman Cain” clique.

Nonetheless, it has been a very revealing experience watching the comments on the 1500 Newt-made-money threads; Capitalism is not nearly as popular here as one might think.

Newt has been great taking on the media. This may be a mistake to start releasing records, while Obama has given nothing to verify he is who he says, other than photo shopped pictures.

Gives too much power to the Obama media.

Careful...

If I heard it right it was Newt’s business Gingrich Group that contracted with Fannie. I don’t see it as unusual that Newt may not know the exact revenue figure his business (one of four businesses he had) brought in from any 1 client over the years.

No one on FR cares that Newt made a lot of money. No one wants to take the money from him. What we do care about is what he was selling and to whom, and not because we think he is "scum", but because his devoting his life to assisting many liberal causes for his clients is something to take into consideration when deciding whether he should be the Republican nominee. If Herman Cain was trying to convince us that he believes that red meats and dairy products are destructive to human beings, then his selling Pizzas would be hypocritical. Newt is trying to convince us that he believes in conservative principles, but what he was selling, e.g. support for an individual mandate for health care, seems at odds with those principles.

Knowledgeable does not mean conservative.

Odd how you still are here after posting a story where you fraudulently wrote your own opinions into the body of a story trying to pass your Anti Cain spam as part of the story.

The stench of hypocrisy wafting off your posts is getting pretty potent.

At least the Anti Newt camp sticks to the facts rathwe then posting self created propaganda and smears like you have done.

Odd how you are so quick to make excuses for Newt when you did not even wait one heartbeat to savage Cain for “Changing his story”

Truly the stench of hypocrisy from the Newt camp is getting stronger.

-—”No one on FR cares that Newt made a lot of money.”-—

Oh, no? Noy, have you missed a lot of threads!

-—”If Herman Cain was trying to convince us that he believes that red meats and dairy products are destructive to human beings, then his selling Pizzas would be hypocritical.”-—

So Cain would be hypocritical if he denounced someone driving drunk after lobbying to prevent the legal Blood/Alcohol-driving limit from being raised a short while back?

Doesn’t supporting Mitt Romney after Romneycare was enacted seem a bit hypocritical, too, from someone pretending to believe it’s a form of socialized medicine?

You can't do anything but play the "I hate Cain card", huh?

The thread subject is about Newt releasing info which he previously gave incorrect info about and waffled on releasing. But since you don't wanna talk about that, you try to turn yet another discussion into your foaming at the mouth rage on Cain.

You are not only pathetic but transparent. Your hyposcrisy knows no bounds

What? I’m a hypocrite again? Is that like TBBT = Hypocrite x 100?

Reminds me of children:

Child 1: “You’re a snot burger eater!”
Child 2: “Well you’re a double snot burger eater!”
Child 1: “We’ll you’re a double snot burger eater x 100!”
Child 2: “Am not!
Child 1: “Are too!”

Fight!

Yet another is along line of blatant lies and false accusation from you, MNJohnnie.

I posted what was written on the sight, period. Not my own opinions. The “Anti-Cain spam” was part of the page, not my addition. I didn’t write it, and you have no ground to stand on to continue to falsely accuse me of doing so.

You wouldn’t know a “fact” if it slapped you in the face.

And I love how you guys lament the “short memories” of Newt backers. Boy, that’s rich coming from an “Everyone is SCUM but Herman Cain” poster! How short YOUR memories are when it comes to YOUR guy - who unlike Newt can’t see to own up to HIS mistakes.

Capitalism is not nearly as popular here as one might think.

What's not popular here is big-government types, like Newt. Capitalism has nothing to do with it.
