It is amazing to me that Steyn correctly sees the institutional wickedness and fundamental societal lack of moral judgment of the Penn State sexual attack on little boys,...but...calls having a usurper in the White House a “technicality”.

While Steyn is most often right, he can, sometimes, choke on a gnat and swallow a T-bone steak whole.

The turn of my own near-ivy east coast college from reasonably moral (in loco parentis) to wholly immoral (moral chaos and perversion) was also marked by a change of university president in 1972. But it wasn’t just a new President, it was a whole cohort of professionals coming into power at the time.

Kids don't become university presidents. Men well into middle age do and they have a lot of mentors to help them get there.

So?...If the problem manifested itself in the early 1970s you can be certain that the Marxist infestation was well entrenched decades before. Please remember that the people who helped Ayers and Dohrn get to their lofty posts were of my father's generation ( born 1913). They had lots of help.

It was people like Rimmer ( born 4 years after my father) who put **known** terrorists like Ayers and Dohrn into power, and mentored those university presidents appointed in the seventies.

The rot was deeply entrenched long before the 70s.

Maybe so, but the institutional response in both cases was nearly identical. Even Gov. Tom Corbett said as much when he was involved in the original prosecution team’s investigation of the Sandusky case.

This is just the first scene. The victums will be attacked, and there will be a lot of accusations against them. If half the rumors are true, this won’t make it to trial.
