Russian warships have entered Syrian territorial waters in an aggressive move designed to prevent any NATO-led attack on the country under the guise of a “humanitarian intervention”. “Russian warships are due to arrive at Syrian territorial waters, a Syrian news agency said on Thursday, indicating that the move represented a clear message to the West that Moscow would resist any foreign intervention in the country’s civil unrest,” reports Haaretz.

Then the Russians own the Syrian dictatorship. Not that I want NATO to intervene, but if the Russkies wanna protect dictators, let them wear it and let the Arab public know it.

Kind of ironic that the russkies are going to save us from more of zero’s unconstitutional adventurisms.

If syria falls it, and it’s proxy state Lebanon, will default to Iranian control. As will Iraq eventually.

I wonder if the Russians are concerned about the blossoming of Iranian power under Obama. It is well known that Iran is involved in Muslim insurgencies in Russia.

Would be interesting to know the real reason they are there in detail.

More result of Obama and NATO taking a no fly, humanitarian protection, UN resolution and turning it into a full scale war in Libya. The Russians and Chinese won't be fooled again.

We should have taken out Assad when we had a huge army in Iraq and owned the area. Tremendous missed opportunity.

Obviously you don't know: Syria and Lebanon are already under Iranian control.

Wonder no more. They aren't. If the Russians were worried they wouldn't be helping the Iranians get nukes.

Yup that's about the size of it. The Russia for some strange reason, seems to think the USA is a threat but not a nuclear armed greater Iran. How crazy is that?

“Result of The Obummer Doctrine:” ...

Further, Lebanon and Gaza are Iranian surrogates. Syria is the disconnect for denial. Syria provides the Iranian sourced materials to Lebanon and Gaza.

With Syria out of the picture, the chain will be broken and Lebanon and Gaza will lose their to function as surrogates as before.

Russia is toothless. Turkey and the Gulf Arabs are the power here and will prevail.

-——Zero is a loose cannon-—

In the Syrian affair, Obama is irrelevant. Others are in the lead for the transformation of Syria

I wish the Russians had done the same in Libya. We’d have one less Muslim Brotherhood country to deal with today.

It will be second Ironbottom Sound if the bear gets in NATO’s way.

Sabre rattling at best, methinks. The Russians sink their own crap on a regular basis.

NATO won't attack Russian ships. That is far beyond their comfort zone and Russia would turn off Europe's gas, as a minimum.
