Sandusky Scandal: Expresident Spanier is also linked to Franklin Scandal(Free Republic exclusive)
Internet ^ | 20/11/11 | Outspot

The Penn State Sandusky scandal is getting weirder by the day. Besides the delays in reporting a serial child molester for years, in the past week conflicts of interests in presiding judge as well as Penn State investigating committees, we have learned that Sandusky’s lawyer impregnated an underage teen in the past, and a bizarre Sandusky interview with Bob Costas made news.

The most amazing link however has been identified by researchers into Graham Spanier’s past. If it is not odd enough that Mr. Spanier was complicit in not reporting the Sandusky rape to the police, Mr. Spanier has a direct link to the sordid “Franklin Scandal” in Omaha, Nebraska (child kidnaping for sexual abuse and trafficking scandal). Looking at Mr. Spanier’s biography, one can easily see that he served as Chancellor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1991 to 1995 right towards the end of the Franklin scandal. Please note that Lincoln Nebraska is a short drive away from Omaha where most of abuses occurred. If the proximity is not creepy enough, Mr. Spanier’s long time friend and associate Ronald Roskens (former University of Nebraska chancellor and president) was directly linked to the Franklin Scandal as well as its ringleader Lawrence King. Roskens was fired in 1989 from his post when his involvement in various orgies was reported on (incl. surveillance photos of nude young boys in Rosken's home) . It is shocking to realize this link when one knows of the abhorrent and deviant abuses which occurred in Omaha during this time and which in a similar fashion to the Penn State scandal was able to persist for too many years.

I guess citing your source as “internet” sounds better than ‘Lunatic Outpost”

Did the boys’ parents not report the molestation to the police? I heard they did and for some reason the DA decided not to bring charges. So why is no one demanding the head of the DA?

Cuz the DA’s been missing since 2005. The DA’s head is, one might say, lost.

Spanier was under consideration for SecEd, but didn’t get the job. What did Barry’s admin know and when did they know it....

This does not surprise me in the least. As Pres. of Penn State he publicly proclaimed he would make the University the most homosexual friendly in the country.

I had an opportunity to observe the man when he spoke at a 45th Penn State reunion luncheon a couple of years ago. I’m very sad to say I’m a Penn State alum. But the school was very different back in the early 60s. It moved left in the late sixties after Pres. Eric Walker retired.

Anyway, I found the man creepy and making a big effport to appear something other than he was. I thought much of his unconscious body language was effeminate.

Gives a whole new meaning to the term “undergraduate”—doesn’t it?

The Penn State rot runs wide and deep and includes the Board of Trustees—present and past.

That is why I like Freepers. Very dilligent!

It was the only source that functioned for me on short notice.

If you enter the google search “Spanier Roskens” you will get 100’s of links that show the connection.

This is crazy news.

Continue to look hard (-:

Many believe he is a homosexual himself....

...While at UN-L, Spanier made faculty place pink triangle stickers on their office doors to indicate support of gay and lesbian students....

Did the boys’ parents not report the molestation to the police? I heard they did and for some reason the DA decided not to bring charges. So why is no one demanding the head of the DA?

Not quite. We know of only two boys involved in the 1998 investigation and no overt sexual contact.

In 1998, the mother of one eleven year-old boy asked him questions when he returned home with wet hair from an outing with Sandusky. Without going into the details, Sandusky told the boy they needed to shower after playing some games at the Penn State facilities such as rolling tape (probably athletic tape) into cups.

In the shower, Sandusky told the boy he was going to squeeze his guts out and bear-hugged him. Sandusky then held the boy under the shower and shampooed his hair.

Two police agencies eavesdropped on two phone calls between the mother and Sandusky. He admitted showering with the boy (and said he'd done it with other boys) and hugging him, but said he didn't think his private parts had touch the boy when hugging him.

Through their investigation, these agencies and child welfare located a second boy, known only as "B.K."

Sandusky groomed his victims, from clothed touching of the thighs, to showering, to manual sex acts, then sometimes oral and finally anal.

He never got the chance with this boy (Victim #6 in the Grand Jury presentment) because the mother spotted the wet hair one of the first times the boy was with Sandusky.

The DA, Ray Gricar, apparently had nothing to go on except the testimony of two boys that they were hugged, nude, in the shower. He determined he couldn't prosecute that. However, Gricar's nephew said Gricar was left with a bad taste in his mouth regarding Penn State football and Joe Paterno, suggesting that Gricar felt he was stonewalled.

Gricar disappeared in 2005. He had recently announced the largest drug bust in Centre County. His car was found by a river; Gricar's brother committed suicide by jumping in a river.

Gricar's county laptop was recovered from the river but the hard drive had been removed. When the hard drive was recovered from the river, it had been damaged.

Gricar's home computer had internet searches for how to destroy a hard drive, including how to destroy one specifically with water.

Some people have taken note of the fact that Gricar - divorced and dating - disappeared from the antique mall area of a town (Lewisburg?) known as home to a quiet, older, affluent gay community.

So.

People aren't demanding the head of the missing DA because he apparently didn't have all of this information in front of him. He had two boys who showered with Sandusky and were hugged. No oral sex. No anal rape. No sexual touching.

Make sense?

This is certainly a bizarre coincidence, but I believe Spanier was at Oregon State during the time period in which this occurred. If memory serves, he didn’t arrive an UNL until two years after the scandal broke.

You are correct with Oregon State employment.

The Franklin scandal lasted a pretty long time (incl. court cases)

Timeline:
http://www.franklincase.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11&Itemid=9

Stonewalling prevented many of the culprits to be caught and numerous delays were encountered.

Most of the victims were never identified.....

To answer your question the Franklin Scandal never really shut down completly.

This wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

I really don’t think people realize how organized these perverts really are. I bet if the FBI opened their files on this outrage Americans would be catatonic in shock.

Now that the internet has opened them up to each other God only knows how many young boys missing and otherwise have been victimized. No wonder he has withdrawn his blessings from America.

As has been noted in other Free Republic threads and to be fair to Mr. Spanier, it needs to be highlighted that his wife, Sandra Spanier, is an English professor at Penn State.
