Well, I agree with you, except for the last part. Restoration will occur in those parts of the United States where there are still people committed to the ideals of the American experiment. The rest will be left to hang separately, I suppose. I would think that the bloodshed and slaughter will occur in some locations - those places already controlled by the left - and it will be tough for them to work their way outside of those enclaves to the rest of us. Sort of like the Paris Commune, plus the French Revolution, with a little Pol Pot throw in for good measure. I can’t see the military throwing itself in with the left, although some police forces might, and certainly the leftist militias like the Black Panthers. The rest of us will see it and weep. In the end, the areas restored to the Constitutional republic will probably require all sorts of obligations and safeguards for other parts of the old United States to reform the union, and some places will be forever lost. And maybe some places will be gained - it would cool to have Alberta as a new state.
The other sad part of this prophecy is that the world will collectively go to hell with terrifying speed once the Americans are fighting among themselves. After that, I would imagine they’ll beg our return.
I do think agree with your assessment. It may be possible to resurrect some semblance of a Constutional republic in parts of a divided US, but it will never be anything like it was before. If zero is re-elected, the secessionist principle will be the only thing between the individual and the boot of despots. Some sherrifs and governors might stand up to the feds, and this movement could gain momentum, but only the Lord knows how something like this would turn out.
