Thank God, Max Sandlin is gone.
He’s prolly busy, packaging the goods now.
Didja buy your ammo for National Ammo Day?
Yep.
Last time I saw him he was shouting “VENISON JIHAD! DEATH TO DEER! DEATH TO DEER!”
No! Why didn’t you remind me?
I have a $70 rebate card I need to use before the month is over.
He likes Bambi LoL
You still have time.
Whew!!!
Discount Tire’s gonna buy me some ammo!
Yee haw!
I'll prolly plunk it all down on 9mm
I remember the subject of gun safe desiccants has come up here a few times. Well, I learned a cool trick from one of the magazines I read.
There is a brand of cat litter called Fresh Step. One of their products is Fresh Step Crystals. It is basically an 8 lb bag of silica gel for about 12 bucks.
I bought some today to check it out and sure enough it is pure desiccant material.
Now if we could figure out some kind of bag to put it in like cheese clothe or some such we could have super cheap gun safe desiccants for a long time.
Any ideas?
I discovered we had a new fire wall at the office this week.
I kept getting blocked searching for ammo. “Prohibited subject ‘weapons’”. Grrr.
I’m apparently high enough up the food chain, that no one batted an eye when I said, “turn that filter off.”
...scanning
I am not sure that desiccants are the answer. As they draw moisture to your safe.
I kinda like the idea of a low watt light bulb, like 4 watts, that drives moisture away.
Let us know how it works for ya.
Just use a sock? Maybe with some panty hose inside.
AIM is selling Silver Bear 9mm 145 gr HP for $10.85.
I bought a box but haven’t had time to try it out yet.
The Silver Bear HPs in 9x18 work great in my CZ.
The scan is done (no faults found) but something is still amiss.
The machine just locks up occasionally.
Damn Pron sites have done me in again LoL!
Hey now there’s a good idea. I think that would work great.
Silica gel will certainly suck ALL the moisture out of air.
I used to sell the stuff as desiccant for industrial compressed air dryers. Will usually give you a -100 degree F dewpoint.
Silver Bear has some quality issues, but they don’t defeat the CZ 82, That thing eats anything.
