There are a few simple solutions that have been presented, like term limits, ethics laws, etc, but the voters keep on ignoring the outcome.

How long does it take for a true “outsider” to go to Washington and soon become one of them? And how many times has that pipe dream been promised, made a reality, and then fallen back into the same old rut?

Pretty much every time.

Well, at least an outsider starts with trying to stand up to the process. Even if it is only a year or two of fighting the prevailing winds before they are overwhelmed and co-opted, at least there is some slowing of the march towards insanity.
