PERRY: Eric Holder must go - Attorney general should resign or be fired
Washington Time ^ | November 21, 2011 | Rick Perry

Posted on 11/22/2011 2:25:39 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Ever since the Department of Justice’s gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious became public, the Obama administration’s response has been slow and infuriating. Of particular concern is Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s lack of candor concerning what he knew and when he knew it.

This is not a typical case of bureaucratic bungling. A 40-year-old Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, and possibly a U.S. immigration agent, are dead because of a horribly ill-conceived Justice Department operation that went tragically wrong.

Hundreds of Fast and Furious firearms have been implicated in criminal activity, and another 1,400 firearms are on the street because the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives engaged in gun-walking - the selling of firearms to straw purchasers in an attempt to locate major weapons traffickers in Mexico. This controversial tactic, involving thousands of weapons, means that brave law enforcement personnel along the border remain at risk.

As details come to light, a larger shadow has been cast on Mr. Holder. When initially asked under oath to say when he first knew about Fast and Furious, Mr. Holder told the House Judiciary Committee on May 3, “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

But the evidence casts serious doubt over that claim. First, President Obama had commented publicly on the operation, noting on March 22 - more than a month before Mr. Holder’s sworn statement - that an inspector general had been assigned to investigate the matter.

[SNIP]

.....America simply cannot tolerate an attorney general who arms the very criminals he is supposed to protect us from and then refuses to comfort the grieving parents of a slain Border Patrol agent. Nor can we tolerate a president...

Rick Perry says Eric Holder should resign, or be fired immediately ....."“Holder’s proclaimed ignorance leaves Americans to draw one of two conclusions: Either he is guilty of extraordinary bureaucratic incompetence or he is guilty of a cover-up meant to shield him from the consequences of an operation that has left at least one federal agent dead and continues to imperil many more,” Perry wrote in a Washington Times op-ed published on Monday. “Either way, it is high time for Mr. Holder to step down. If he refuses to resign, Mr. Obama must fire him immediately.”.....

Currently The USDOJ (ERIC HOLDER) is weighing whether to ALLOW Texas and South Carolina to use their new voter ID laws due to their “having a history of discriminatory voting practices” from a section of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Texas will find out “Obama’s” ruling December 5th and South Carolina will know by December 27. Mississippi will have to submit their plan too. More details: Debate heats up over voter ID laws

If Obama and crew slaps down voter I’d, that is going to piss off most of the southern states, like Florida.

Good.

Good poing Jonty.... I’d like to think Obama-Holder would weight that — but they might slap it down to rally their base. There is no conscience or character in this administration.

Perry is right but.....

Since Holder serves a constituency of one, namely Obama, being fired is out of the question. Only if Congress puts enough pressure on him with demands to resign with Obama give him the boot.

I doubt Holder will resign of his own volition.

Perry is on the move. He is taking it to the public and will keep on this loud and long. He's highlighting the corruption on the Hill too.

Rick Perry on Congressional Insider Trading [:24]

Nov. 13, 2011: “Pelosi fires back at ‘60 Minutes’ report on ‘soft corruption’”

“Pelosi and her husband participated in an initial public offering of Visa in 2008, according to CBS. They bought 5,000 shares at the initial price of $44; two days later, shares were trading at $64, CBS said.”.......... Source

Pelosi Bashes Catholics: 'They Have This Conscience Thing'... “After having some of her behind the scenes shenanigans exposed, Nancy Pelosi has turned to her friends in the MSM to help her with damage control. The effect is something akin to watching what scrambles out after you overturn a large rock.

Pelosi sought to defend herself from allegations that she and her husband made millions from insider trading in what the Washington Post calls a wide ranging interview……..

……Pelosi added a startling, if inadvertent, admission. Addressing the effects such [ObamaCare] legislation would have on Catholic health care providers, Pelosi said:

"I'm a devout Catholic and I honor my faith and love it . . . but they have this conscience thing."…….

And we've seen how well that works. Voter outrage "heat" will have to jeopardize their seats for them to act......and it's holiday time and........

The Dems have painted themselves into such a small corner, they have very little room to maneuver. All they can really do is interfere with the process for as long as possible, in hopes that these I’d laws won’t pass until after 2012.

Just get some popcorn and pull up a chair and watch the show.

That's why they're instigating civil unrest. I don't envision sitting and enjoying popcorn in our future.

btw re; "poing" --- :( = point!

Don't know how any objection could be made by Eric Holder on these voting requirements:

I don’t think you really have anything to worry about, in regards to these OWS’ers.

There are only, at best 200 hardcore radicals. All the others are wannabe’s, who lived in their parent’s basements. Who know nothing about real chaos and disorder. If it really became a serious situation, where the military was needed to prevent unrest, you’d have the military, police, and fire fighters and you’d also every freedom loving and gun-tot’in constitutional lover lending a hand.

Basically, I think that at midnight, the OWS’er revolution would statt and at 12:05, it would be over.

Considering they spent 10 million dollars and still failed to overturn the state house, and these type of things generally work once or twice, it will be interesting to watch.

Americans, in general, don’t have a lot of patience for this crap. The only way I can see this type of action is that Americans will use it against the Dems and Americans will relish the chance to do so. The right won’t need 10 million dollars to return the favour.

And of course the potential based on their track records, how Eric Holder AG-DOJ and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano react in the event of unrest should be on everyone’s radar.

Yes.

See nothing, hear nothing and do nothing.

2012 will only be a better year for the Republicans. Especially if any serious unrest happens.

Amen, Governor Perry. Amen.

And not just for Agent Terry’s murder, but also for the murder of hundreds of Mexican citizens by “fast and furious” weapons.

And what about our arming the sworn, terrorist enemies of our foreign neighbor, Mexico. That is an act of war if done with forethought, and only the most gross incompetence is the only alternative plea.

Let us not forget that Obama DID know about this, since Obama himself acknowledged it in March...prior to Holder’s lying.

The only fly in the ointment, however, is that no matter what Obama, and team does, is that they will likely not serve a day in jail.

Because, even if they all get dragged out of office screaming, President Joe Biden will pardon them all.

You will notice that, in any of the scandals, Joe’s name has not been brought up by anybody. It’s my suspicion that he is deliberately being kept away from everything. Given a colouring book and crayons, so to speak, and told to go to his room while the grownups talk.

He was not picked as VP because he’s brilliant or that he’s overly connected. He’s simply relatively clean.

If, and when he issues all those pardons, he will then likely isolate himself until January 2013 and then move into quiet retirement.

Perry’s right except that Holder shouldn’t be given the chance to resign.
