If this is the way these people feel, then the police should just stay on the out skirts of the University to assure that the protestors don’t leave the campus. This way the protestors can do what they wish on the campus. When the school has to repair the damage, raise the tuition to pay for it.

I’m a parent of a Cal Berkeley student. Tuition has increased dramatically every year my daughter has been there (three), and there’s even talk of doubling it since the state is so far past broke. I have another one right behind her ready to enter the US system next year.

The vast majority of students are not participating in these things and some of the ‘protestors’ are outside agitators and agents provocateurs.

My daughter tells me most students want to be left alone to go to class and don’t want their paths blocked or the buildings locked when doing so (as has happened recently).

DD told me last year some type of protest wasn’t getting enough attention so the agitators decided to pull all the fire alarms on campus at the same time two hours into three hour finals. The kids taking the tests didn’t find it so funny when their finals were immediately declared null and void as everyone was forced outside the buildings

Cal students were furious, marched up to the little Commies and screamed in their faces to get off the campus, that they weren’t students and who in the **** did they think they were!

BTW: Largest student organization at Cal? Young Republicans.
