BOULDER -- In the first police action related to the Occupy Boulder movement, officers early Monday morning ticketed 11 people in a makeshift camp outside the Boulder County courthouse along the Pearl Street Mall.
...
According to police records, officers issued a total of 10 tickets on charges of illegal camping or public urination.
Additionally, police ticketed P.J. Jentsch for having a dog on the mall. His 3-year-old border collie mix, Shelby, garnered national media attention after being elected leader of the Occupy Denver movement in early November following a request from Denver Mayor Michael Hancock that protesters designate a representative.

"We absolutely understand people's desire to gather and protest, whether as part of the Occupy movement or any cause," Commissioner Ben Pearlman said in a prepared statement. "However, in the interest of public health and safety, we can't allow camping in front of the courthouse. We apply these rules consistently, no matter the subject, in order to be fair and equitable."

This might be a good way to go. Bureaucratize them away.
BTW - what’s up with this:
“Later Monday morning, Jentsch said he had no intention of going anywhere.
“This is an occupation,” he said. “We’re not leaving until sometime in 2014.” ?
Boulder has been occupied by the left for many years. They’re trying to reoccupy it?
“We absolutely understand people’s desire to gather and protest, whether as part of the Occupy movement or any cause,”
This is pure bs...
