Free Markets-Free People Rally, Downtown Denver
Hear Us Now ^ | 11.22,11 | Hear Us Now

Posted on 11/22/2011 1:11:10 PM PST by invaderzim

What we instead need are more free markets and more liberty – for history has shown that this is the way for our country’s restored greatness – both as a nation but also for the general populace.

To that end, we will be rallying on December 3rd at 11:30 a.m. on the West Steps of the Colorado State Capitol to show support for free market capitalism.

Additionally, we will be having a charity drive for a charity to be determined to help show that voluntary contributions – not forced altruism at the hand of the government – is the most appropriate way to help the less fortunate.

If you support not only our country’s restored greatness, but also a more humanitarian world, please consider attending this event. For in the end, liberty is not the problem, liberty is the answer.

It may be small, that’s okay though.

I’ve been meaning to ask someone who might know, who was the C Springs politician (I think) who wrote the amendment requiring excess state tax revenue be returned to taxpayers. The state could not just keep the money. It had to go to a vote or they had to return it. Late 80’s or early 90’s. Bruce Brown maybe. Thanks for any help.

I found it. Douglas Bruce. 1992 Taxpayer bill of rights (TABOR). Over 2 billion given back to taxpayers.

Sorry for the trouble.

I wish you good luck, good weather and that you all stay safe. I hope the “Occupiers” don’t cause any problems for your group there. This is a great idea
