Not the Contract for America-— in fact that propelled him to the leadership. He resigned before being kicked out due to his questionable ethics. Republicans want better of their leaders.

Never forget that Gingrich supported some very liberal stuff since leaving office.

Gingrich resigned, as a prudent step, but every ethics charge against him was dismissed as BS. Every one. Can you say "ethics charges against Sarah Palin?" Did you think she was the first victim of leftwing slander? Don't be stupid. You prefer lies to the truth. Great conservative you are.

“Not the Contract for America-— in fact that propelled him to the leadership. He resigned before being kicked out due to his questionable ethics.”

So tell me exactly why his ethics were suddenly so much more questionable?

After the Contract with America? Which fundamentally threatened the DC power structure?

Of course there’s a connection...in the absence of such a move...his “ethics” were quite constructive to DC’s ends.

In fact...all that happened to him in that setting tells the world exactly HOW DC continues to grow despite the intent of We the People. Congress critters’ ethical lapses are routinely leveraged to DC’s ends.

You are not yet quite cynical enough, grasshopper...
