How any western family would ever leave a dog in an muslim country (thinking it was rehomed and would be well-treated) is beyond me. Muslims hate dogs, considering them fithy/unclean.
I should add it’s a nice story to see today. That is one happy dog. :)
OK, Freepers, I see the Shepherd in her, but what other dogs do you think might be in the mix?

I loved this.
That applies in places like the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia (ARAMCO Oil territory) and there any alcohol availability is kept well under the radar. Dubai and the UAE? Not so much. Dubai, in particular, is the least "Arab" or Sharia compliant location in the region. Lots of Indians and European expatriates live there and pretty much run the place under local Arab ownership of the companies.
