but they would not have the right to vote."

Horse sh**! It would only be a matter of time before the dimwits passed a law giving them the right to vote by giving them full citizenship. This way leads only to more illegals swarming over the border in the hopes they will become "long term illegals with families".

This is amnesty pure and simple and this guy should not be elected President. We already have enough government officials unwilling to enforce immigration laws, we don't need another one.

"There is a path to non-deportation for certified, very long-term community members but they would not have the right to vote."

Not sustainable. Will only last as long as it takes for the first lawsuit to hit the courts.

Gingrich, like some very smart people I've met in my life, can make gargantuan mistakes from time to time.

Just think of Steve Jobs. Dead today because he wanted to pursue a Buddist approach to dealing with his pancreatic cancer. Wrong.

Leniency to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.

It sounds like Gingrich is proposing a work permit program that enables illegals to stick around forever without ever being eligible for naturalization. The problem with such a program is that we don’t need it, and these workers are having children who automatically become American citizens. All we need to do is step up enforcement, and pass new legislation imposing prison terms and felony convictions for employers who knowingly hire illegals, and they will leave the country of their own accord, at no cost to the taxpayer except for the cost of hiring additional immigration agents.

McCain did the exact same torturing of the word amnesty.

We need a straight-talking candidate, not one spewing the same old DC weasel words.

-—”Not sustainable. Will only last as long as it takes for the first lawsuit to hit the courts”-—

Well, that pretty much ends any hope of making future Conservative legislation, buy your logic. That’s why you work for a SCOTUS majority.

But I’m sure politicians would keep tax rates at 9-9-9 forever, though, right? As long as we’re talking “not sustainable.”

Just think of Steve Jobs. Dead today because he wanted to pursue a Buddist approach to dealing with his pancreatic cancer. Wrong.

According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative survival rate is 20%, and the five-year rate is 4%.

But you go ahead and blame Jobs if it makes you feel superior.

Downright Orwellian.

Looks like Newt has learned SOMEthing. It’s probably not a good idea to call the very people whose votes you seek, “inhumane”, just because they want immigration laws enforced.

“path to non-deportation”

That’s almost as good as him and his boosters here saying,
`He’s going to legalize illegals ... but it’s not amnesty.’
Just more razzle dazzle from the perfesser.

He wants ... a guest worker program

Yeah, Newt, we have such rampant labor shortages in this economy.

He is completely out of touch with those outside the Beltway.

"there is no path to citizenship in my Tuesday night comment on immigration," Gingrich told Newsmax. "There is a path to non-deportation

Newt, Newt, Newt. This is not a path to The White House.
