Grunthor: If you want to get technical, it more correctly would have been: “...the Debate this past Tuesday.” And you are incorrect as well: When you say “this Tuesday” that carries the connotation of the “upcoming” Tuesday, not the past Tuesday. I notice that sometimes in puff pieces the writer, if they bring up any negative that the candidate was involved in or said, tries to make it seem like “old news.”
