Googlemap “9000 Coyle, Detroit”. You’ll see some of the homes are well maintained and others not so much. Typical of Detroit. Where the firemen and policemen live the area tends to be nicer. The city used to have a residency rule and once it was lifted (10 or so years ago, I think, most of the homeowners fled to the burbs, so these neighborhoods haven’t had as much time to get rundown. This is the far westside. The closer you get to the city, that’s when you start to see most of the deterioration.

Parkland and to a lesser extent Warrendale. Those are the main city worker areas. As soon as the law passed, just about anyone with kids there got out.
