It was a very interesting film- I never knew about French involvement in the holocaust, checked it on the internet, and found out that a French court confirmed this in 2009. Amazing what a “civilized” country can perpetuate on it’s own citizens. This atrocity was committed by the French Police against French citizens.

Oh, yes they did, and then they took all their resources, and drafted their kids and killed their Jews.
That can happen when one country beats another which is why WE do not ever want that to happen to us.
Still, even as your side wins, war can be particularly horrible ~ during D-Day when our forces landed in France to push the Germans back between 15,000 and 20,000 French civilians were killed.
