What felony? Entering the US without proper documentation certainly isn’t.

First time you're caught, 6 months in prison. Second time, 2 years in prison, a felony. And, of course, that doesn't count felony identification theft, felony tax fraud, felony false statements on government documents, felony social security fraud ...

Entering the US illegally is a criminal misdemeanor; reentering the country after being deported is a felony.
