Obama Selling Martini Glasses and Spatulas for Campaign Cash
Fox News ^ | November 27, 2011 | Todd Starnes

President Obama’s campaign team has put together a website to remind us what the Yuletide season is truly all about — getting him re-elected. So they’ve decided to offer Americans a collection of special decorations for the “holiday” season...

...And don’t worry about messing up your furniture with water stains because the Commander-in-Chief also has a line of glass coasters.

But if you’re sipping a Martini, why not just throw a backyard barbecue?

And President Obama has just what you need — a “Fired Up and Ready to Grill” apron, a six-pack presidential cooler, and a nifty Commander-in-Chief cutting board to chop up your White House veggies.

In addition to that creepy, lecherous look in his eyes, the Made in the USA kind of mocks him because in fact he was not MADE in the USA.

Are these Obama products made in the USA?

Are the products made by union hands?

Are the companies making these products “Green Companies”?

What do those that make and sell these products eat... what do their children eat in school?

People drink to forget Obama. Having his mug/logo on the glass could lead to alcoholism.

It’s hard to believe some of that stuff is real. If the “made in the USA” glass (or whatever it is) is real I have to give them a little credit for snarky humor. And I do like the spatula, there should be more decorative spatulas like that. (Maybe I can get one at Spatula City!).

But, a dog food bowl, really? That’s how you show your support? And the biden beer holder? How about an Eric Holder beer holder?

This smacks of a violaton of campaign finance laws.

I would not be able to legally give Obama $1,000,000 for his re-election.

A foreigner could not legally give him ANYTHING, I believe.

So let's say me, George Soros, or Jacque Islamabad were to buy 40 thousand sets of golf balls with the Obama logo for $1 Million.

Personalized golf balls (that's all these are) RETAIL for about a dollar each (if you buy a dozen). And about half of that is the retailer's profit.

In much larger quantities the wholesale price could be about 25cents each.

So from that one order, Obama would NET a campaign contribution of $980,000

The recipient would receive 80,000 golf balls he could put in a landfill, give away, sell or give to a driving range, or whatever. The point is, he just contributed $980,000 to Obama's re-election campaign, side-stepping our laws!

I always wondered if he had done the same thing earlier with his books. His tax returns showed a HUGE profit from FOREIGN sales!

Too many easy double-entendres on that merchandise (no pun intended on the “double” reference).

The GOP candidates do it too. No reason to get all worked up.

Great idea

BUT

I am not sure I want to be sitting there ‘doing my business’ and having to look at that clown - I would get so ‘upset’ that I may never make an artistic creation again.

Democrats have done this before. Speaker Jim Wright was forced to resign because he got around limits on speaking fees by selling bulk purchases of his book to his donors.

Coincidentally, it was Congressman Newt Gingrich who filed the ethics complaint against Wright.

Later, the Democrats retaliated against Gingrich by accusing him of misusing a tax-exempt status on a college course, leveling a $300,000 fine against Gingrich.

EXCELLENT POINT!!! If this isn't illegal it sure should be. It needs to be tracked. I, also, never did believe he sold many of his books to the general public. Why would they buy his (a relative unknown) boring book back then? I think the left does that on a regular basis. Need us to front you a bunch of cash, write a book. As long as you are in with them for some reason cash rolls in.
