You're correct that foreigners can't contribute to the Obama campaign, unless they have green cards. Don't know what that's about. However purchase from the Obama campaign, which these appear to be, are contributions subject to the limitations and reporting requirements of the law, so Soros can't buy 10 million golf balls. Last election, there was an issue with a large contribution, 30 or 40 thousand, from Gaza, where else, which the contributior contended was a purchase of Obama TShirts to sell to his many fans in Gaza. The Obama campaign had to return the money.

If you want to look for potential fraud in something like this, look to the exemption of under $200 contributions from disclosure. Which last campaign I believe the McCain campaign did voluntarily, but the Obama campaign refused. Just as they refused to verify credit card identity. The entrepreneur in Gaza, this time round he'll place 200 orders for $180 worth of TShirts. Illegal, but who's to know

Thanks for the ping...I remember during the campaign, the issue of deliberate credit card fraud that would have allowed ANYONE ANYWHERE to contribute to the Obama campaign came up (Covered HERE by Ed Morrissey)

Previously they sold digital downloads of albums. No shipping costs. Wonder how many $5 donors never bothered to claim their “purchase”.

Also with all of Obama’s high dollar donors, he needs his $5 donors trying to win a date with Barry to average out to lower donation values so he can at least pretend to be a man of THE PEOPLE.
