An lame attempt by Reuters to make Obama appear to be something of a global leader.

The reality is Obama is irrelevant. He is playing the fiscal crisis at home to score political points for his reelection campaign. In contrast, Europe’s politicians are arguing about real solutions and contemplating real consequences. Obama has forfeited the U.S. role as a global leader.
