Chuck Todd: GOP Will Have To Be "Dragged, Kicking And Screaming" To Support Romney (video)

NBC's Chuck Todd on "Morning Joe" today: "Apparently the Republican base is going to get dragged, kicking and screaming to come to the conclusion that they're going to have to support Romney at the end of the day. I mean, it is amazing to me to watch this.

"This is a candidate in Gingrich. He is now, the anti-establishment candidate. A former Speaker of the House whose businesses actually have addresses on K Street in Washington, D.C. It's not just -- it's symbolically right there on K Street.

"That to me tells you how much energy there is against Mitt Romney in this Republican field. And at some point, you're right. Do they just surrender and say 'fine, we're going with Romney' or do they fight this and fight this and fight this? And I tell ya, if you look back at 2010, I think they fight this."

The $64k question: Who will be doing the dragging? And who put them in charge?

I will not be voting for mitt romney under any circumstances... maybe the corrupt republican leadership can come up with enough dead people and illegal aliens to vote him into office... I will not be voting for him or newt.

The dynamics playing out now in this primary are not looking good. Gingrich will not be able to overcome his past. Romney is laying low and been playing rope-a-dope all this year. Romney will slide in by the summer, and we will be left holding a gun on the one hand and vile of cyanide on the other.

For the first time in a long while, I saw Ann Coulter on F&F. She was pushing for Romney strong. It was so disappointing to watch her tout him as a good candidate.

I couldn't take it for long so I got up and cleaned the litter box. Seemed appropriate....

“I will not be voting for him or newt.”

Hmmmm... I remember other posters posting:

“I will not vote for Juan McCain. No way.”

How’d that work out?

They just have to come up with enough Democrats to vote in open primaries in New Hampshire and other places.

I’m sticking with Bachmann, Cain, and Santorum as a reasonable compromise.

Not a single vote has been taken and I don’t trust media or polls.

You would think after Bob Dole and John McCain, the country clubbers would realize that a kicking, screaming base will result in a democrat president.

I consider defeating Romney in the primaries a victory. Regardless of the outcome in the general. We are fight a triple headed hydra, the MSM, GOP Establishment and Democrats.

If Juan McCain had not chosen Palin it would have been a bloodbath. She’s the only reason I voted. And then McCain’s people and Romneys people knifed her in October 2008.

This Freeper doesn’t forget that.

I won’t be doing that. Choose Romney and get Obama for the next four years, GOP. This is not a bluff.
