"Traditionally styled "caganer" ceramic figurines of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin are displayed on November 8, 2011 in Torroella de MontgrÃ, Spain. Statuettes of well-known people defecating are a strong Christmas tradition in Catalonia, dating back to the 18th century as Catalonians hide caganers in Christmas Nativity scenes and invite friends to find them. The figures symbolize fertilization, hope and prosperity for the coming year...."
That caption is how they think they can get away with this. Liberals are scum.

from the caption:

He is more well-known than Sarah Palin.

Now that I see they did one on Obama it’s not so bad.
But a “major” newspaper should NEVER publish something like that, regardless of the subject.

Okay, then, Boston Globe: why not publish a picture of a Barack Obama "caganer"? He is more well-known than Sarah Palin. Yes, but we've all seen Obama defecating ... on the country.

Why would they show SARAH PALIN defecating? After all, Palin is TEA PARTY, not OCCUPY WALL STREET.

Additionally to the Palin figurine, only one photo had any hint of the religious significance of the holiday — a photo taken in Bethlehem.

Now the #9 photo is captioned:
German bicycle designer Didi Senft, also known as ‘El Diablo’, poses in front of a giant Christmas candle arch in the town of Storkow, Germany on November 24, 2011. (Thomas Peter/Reuters) #
There’s no “Christmas candle arch” in pic 8 or 10. They haven’t cleaned it up yet. But the awe inspiring Boston Globe printing this picture is symbolic of what they’ve become.
