W.H. statement on Frank
Politico44 ^ | 11/28/11 | MATT NEGRIN

The White House has released this statement on Barney Frank's retirement from President Obama, who has been meeting with European Union leaders since around noon:

"This country has never had a Congressman like Barney Frank, and the House of Representatives will not be the same without him. For over 30 years, Barney has been a fierce advocate for the people of Massachusetts and Americans everywhere who needed a voice. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of families and businesses and helped make housing more affordable. He has stood up for the rights of LGBT Americans and fought to end discrimination against them. And it is only thanks to his leadership that we were able to pass the most sweeping financial reform in history designed to protect consumers and prevent the kind of excessive risk-taking that led to the financial crisis from ever happening again

Once again Obama proves he is the best liar in the world.

I suspect that Barney Frank understands his bleak future in politics and has decided to retire in hopes of getting out of the obvious line of fire! The Republicans are going to sweep the 2012 elections and the trail of Democrats corruption with surface and investigations will begin. Frank's line of thinking is if he isn't in full target view perhaps he might be spared from any perp walks!

helped make housing more affordable.

And now nobody can afford to buy a house.
Or they don't dare to, because they could lose their job tomorrow.
See how well this program worked.
His policies started this whole financial meltdown.

Not surprising that Obama is so firmly behind Barney Frank.

If you were to elect me instead of the passel of mostly schmucks that are running, I would see to it that Barney Frank were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

(And prison might be a blessing for Barney.)

There is at least one positive thing one can say about Frank; he generally got to the bottom of things!

I’m tired right now and cannot think clearly, but gobbledygook doesn’t require much brainpower. I cannot fathom having to spout mountains of nonsense day after day about people I could care less about, yet these men in politics do. It has to scar your very soul.

I can certainly hope it will never be the same again.

- truer words were never spoken. Good riddance and don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Mr. Fwank.

I'm sure he'll arrange to spend lots of time in some corner of Europe that is tolerant of his perversion and not terribly quick to jump when the USA hollers. Perhaps he got a good long-term rental deal on Roman Polanski's Swiss chalet.
