Well for one... Gingrich doesn't deny it. He's acknowledged it and says he reconciled with his god (forgiveness is a big tenant with Christians). Cain denies it today. If the story is true and he's lying about - on air today - then that's going to hurt.

Affairs and falling in love with someone else are two different things. Newt had long marriages...longer than most people that I know.
