RALEIGH, N.C. - A Wake County grand jury on Monday indicted former campaign workers and a close family friend of North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue as part of an investigation into undisclosed flights on private airplanes leading up to her 2008 election victory.

Grand jurors handed up indictments in state court against former Perdue campaign finance director Peter Reichard of Greensboro; Juleigh Sitton of Morganton, until recently the director of the governor's Western Office in Asheville; and Trawick H. "Buzzy" Stubbs Jr. of New Bern, a former law partner with Perdue's late first husband.

Stubbs and Sitton were each charged with one count each of filing false campaign reports and obstruction of justice, according to the indictments, while Reichard was charged with one count of obstruction of justice. All the charges are felonies, with potential penalties ranging from community service to prison time.

It’s pretty sad, really, but NC has produced some real losers the last few years, Gov Dumpling being only the latest. Let’s be sure and give credit where it is due and mention her previous boss and our last Gov, Mike Easley, and his beautiful, theiving wife. And kudos to Mr John “Pretty Boy” Edwards, who has done so much to improve the images of other Dem greats like Willy Clinton and Lil Ted Kennedy. Nor should we short-change the accomplishments of one of the most astute legal minds in the nation, Mike Nifong. There’s not enough room to describe all the local crap that has gone on during the 100 year reign. And as a reward we get to host an infestation of slimies from the DNC. Home, Sweet F’ing Home.

And, NCers should not forget whom our beloved Senator Kay Hagan is-— the niece of the old “he-coon” hisself— FL Gov. Lawton Chiles. As incompetent a governor as there ever was, ole “walkin’ Lawton”—

He was so incompetent that he neglected to ask for the National Guard to be activated, and request of the President the deployment of military units to Dade County, FL following the disaster of Hurricane Andrew. George HW Bush, following the Posse Comitatus law, did not release the military to FL duty— for which liberal democrats castigated him, wrongly. This became the template for the Hurricane Katrina accusations against W. All BS and all because of the ole “he coon”.

Hagan’s father was a tire salesman in Lakeland, FL and married Chile’s sister. Later mayor of Lakeland, went into the warehouse real estate business. Hagan’s claim to NC was to have been born in Shelby,NC that’s it— complete life in FL up until marrying and moving to NC. Plays up the country girl bit— family is industrial warehouses— not farming. Another fake, like her uncle. Elizabeth Dole spent too much time with Bob in the Watergate— she never should have lost, lame as she became though.

How soon we forget -

Dr. James "Jim" Boyce Black (born March 25, 1935) is a member of the North Carolina Democratic Party.

In December 2006, Black announced that he would not seek another term as Speaker. That was followed in January 2007 by his announcement that he would not run for re-election to the House in 2008.

Black pleaded guilty to a federal charge of public corruption on February 15, 2007, a felony carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He admitted to accepting funds from chiropractors while their professional group had legislation pending in the NC General Assembly. As a result, he resigned from the General Assembly on February 14, 2007.

Federal prosecutors have said the plea deal with Black involves his assistance in their continued investigation into political corruption in North Carolina government.

Black's agreement with federal prosecutors did not protect him from state prosecution. Indeed, days after his federal plea, he entered into a separate Alford plea agreement with the district attorney of Wake County, the capital county.

On July 11, 2007, Black was sentenced by Judge Terrence Boyle to five years, three months in prison, three years of probation, and a $50,000 fine. Black was sentenced in state court as well in 2007 and 2009, but was allowed to serve his state sentences concurrently with his federal prison time.

In 2010, Black was released from federal prison in Georgia and returned to Mecklenburg County to serve the remaining six months of his term either at a halfway house or under house arrest.

Oh, yes, we can’t forget ole Jim, can we? Didn’t he use the men’s room as a secret meeting place to pick up his cash? Adds meaning to the term “Dirty money”.
