The information was leaked to provide selective "statistics" that Feinstein could use to promote her views on gun trafficking—no criminal intelligence interpretation was provided, and the way this was done was intentional, with cognizance that the data were going to be misused.
Having gotten the cherry-picked data submitted into the record, DOJ will now deny access to the database to anyone else, so the accuracy of that data cannot be challenged.

"This it?" I don't know. I've never seen Feinstein's house.
That's why I asked for a photo of it to be posted.
If that is her house, it certainly has that palatial look.
The photo reminds me of one of those country estates of the very rich in England.

Hehehe, you know, at the end of the day...There is no way in [expletive deleted] will I ever give up a single firearm or round of ammunition in the event the day comes the government wants me to turn over what they know I have...
Feinstien (and her ilk), can worm their way towards that goal at their own risk...

DiFi was mayor of SF:
At the time, there was a man who combined Marxism and religion in a compelling new way that somehow bound whites and blacks (mostly from Oakland) together in a way that was almost magical.
His influence grew, and finally CPS turned almost 100 troubled youths over to him --he was the charismatic Reverend Jim Jones of the People's Temple Church.
They all died here:
It wasn't DiFi's FAULT, really, but the amazing thing was that NO journalists from San Francisco EVER took her to task for the deeds of her buddy --no famously uncomfortable questions.
It was as if DiFi had never been friends with him at all.
