This autocratic, misguided policy sends a clear message to foreigners contemplating an illegal entry--the agency charged with removing them does not intend to do so. History tells us that an increase in illegal immigration occurs any time our politicians even discuss a change in policy or law that makes it easier for illegal aliens to enter or remain in the United States. This policy will reverse the hard-fought gains in border security that have been accomplished at such a high cost. It also defies what the majority of Americans have made clear they want, and what Congress has called for: a secure border and control of illegal immigration.

You will see the absolute FUTILITY of trying to stop illegal immigration without a serious border fence.

Our guys are doing a great job, but it is an IMPOSSIBLE job.

We catch them, send them back, and they come right back and try again.

Drugs. Yeah, they seize some big quantities of drugs, mostly pot, but what per cent gets through? 90%? More? Exercise in futility. If we were to actually close the border, border guards could search more vehicles and catch more drugs. I saw this past week where they hollowed out the center cores of the radiator and hid the drugs there. If not for the dogs we wouldn’t have found it. Hidden compartments in railroad cars! In gas tanks, in tires, rear axle pumpkin, seats, roof, dash, air conditioning ducts, etc. etc.

I want to put the illegal alien criminals to work out in the desert, in chain gangs, building a 30-ft high border WALL. To hell with a fence, I want a Great Wall of America, one you can see from space!
