Cain HAD to know this would all come out..that they’d come after him..looking for ANYTHING..he didn’t prepare..didn’t tell his staff..and that alone, IMO, makes him not ready for day ONE in the Oval office..

Well he probably thought NYOB which he is right. I am voting for him unless of course he drops out. If he drops out there are ONLY two other candidates that I will vote for in the General and that is Bachmann and Santorum. If they go down than I am writing in Sarah. I don’t care. I am so sick of having liberal Republicans forced down our throats.

That, of course, presumes that the story has any merit to it.

If the story is legitimate, then it reinforces the cynical but potentially correct view that Cain was never serious about running, he just wanted the publicity for book sales and listeners, and maybe to "drive the debate" on a topic or two. With Palin bailing, Bachmann immolating, and Perry falling flat on face, he found himself in the unexpected position of serious challenger -- at that point, all he could do would be to hope that this stuff didn't come out. That would at least be a logical explanation, but it does rely on several assumptions.

Yep. If this woman's story is true, Cain should never have run. Or at the very least, he should have published all these peccadilloes in advance.

I don’t think Cain entered the race with the thought of being a viable candidate.

If he hadn’t become one, none of these women/accusations would have been bothered with.

He will drop out. You don’t throw that out there unless that’s what you’re going to do.

“Cain HAD to know this would all come out ...”

And what is “this”? The accusations by false witnesses? Is that what you’re talking about?

I suppose as a black man, he should have expected such cliched accusations.

>>Cain HAD to know this would all come out<<

That was my thought. Not judging the guy, Lord knows I've not earned my wings.

All the woman coming out in regards to harassment, then this one alleging a 13yr affair. Pretty bold claim if not true.

13yrs? She would almost certainly have something to corroborate her claim that would be irrefutable....my guess.
