But Huntsman still believes those things. Therein lies the difference. He is not pandering, or altering his position for the sake of this election.

Disagree with him on climate change and evolution if you will, disagree with him on civil unions (he has essentially the same position on this as George W Bush), but it really is a ridiculous leap to call Jon Huntsman a ‘liberal’.
The argument against Huntsman(a reasonable one) loses credibility with me, when ridiculous labels, get slapped around like that.
Huntsman is an electoral disaster for Obama.
Clarification: I know the article calls Huntsman “The GOP darling of liberals” rather than a ‘liberal’ out-right. But there have been those who have slapped that label on him. Silly. Very silly.
