I believe he's handling it by refusing to quit and firing back. Did you have another suggestion? What would it look like to "handle" these specific challenges? To me, they seem to be thin, half-hearted accusations, each one intended only to use up Cain's "face time" in each news cycle, and then fade away until a fresh one replaces it.
I don't mean to imply it's not conceivable Cain might do something differently. But if a claim against a candidate is falseand the GOP contenders can all look forward to a year of such claims from the Axelratsis there an alternative to sticking to one's guns and waiting for the news value of each successive bimbo to grow shorter and shorter? Even if we find out one of the GOP candidates really did have a secret mistress, does it really matter? Warts and all, wouldn't any of them be betterand more moralthan the larcenous traitors now running the White House?
I don't get the impression you're a fan of Mr. Cain's. But all the Republicans will be in his position sooner or later. I suppose he could give up, but it seems to me that feeding the crocodile only makes the next Republican in line an easier meal for the beast.
As a matter of fact, Cain could easily put these most recent allegations behind him fairly easily. It just requires he sit down with the media and answer all the questions people are going to ask.
What is this woman to him exactly? How did he meet her? What kind of friendship was this that went on for 13 years? How often did he communicate with her? Did he take her out to sporting events and other places as she has claimed? Why was he providing her financial support? Are there any other women he is providing financial support to that might be a problem going forward?
Good grief, how hard is it to just get all this stuff out there? Cain is providing financial support to someone who appears downright shady. Why? How many others like her are running around?
