Well, it’s a good thing that the election is not today.
It’s not likely that Newt can sustain these numbers for 2 months.
He has nowhere to go but down.
To: TBBT
hearing the grate one complain yesterday he doesnt like the infighting of conservatives....hello all the candidates pretty much suck when the front runners are Newt and Rohmney. I can go along with Paul and Johnson, i know many dont like them but we could at least get some candidates similar to those 2 not a one of them want to stick to the constitution.

He has nowhere to go but down.
On the brighter side, several other GOP hopefuls have nowhere to go but up.

Sorry, it makes no sense that Perry lost support because of illegals, but Newt who’s stance is more “liberal” than Perry on the issue is surging. What does make sense is that Perry came off as stumbling and ill prepared in the debates (at least at first), while Newt comes off as the smartest, most prepared of all the candidates. Immigration is not most important issue for most voters.

Here is a Florida poll from November 28, 2007:
Huckabee: 44%
Giulani: 18%
Romney: 13%
McCain: 10%
Two months later McCain won the Florida primary.

Newt’s not the greatest, but he’s my second favorite.
I’ll be moderately happy if I have to settle for him.

I met Newt 2.0 Monday here in Charleston at a small meet and greet.
I was surprisingly impressed - and happy to learn we have a sincere, humble, experienced, smart adult in the game.
Considering his campaign was in the ashes a couple months ago, very impressed.
I hope he has what it takes to endure the billion dollar sh*t storm coming his way.
Go Newt 2.0!

Language would be my bet. Perry said that if you wanted to decline in-state tuition to illegals you didn't have a heart. That got reported as Perry accusing his opponents of being heartless. Newt phrased his position on humanely enforcing immigration laws to protect families. I've yet to see anyone reporting that Newt called his opponents inhumane (I will admit I could have missed it though).

Well, I guess I’ll have to figure out something to do on election day, since voting will be a waste of time.
Vote for Obama, or Vote for Noot; either way we get obama’s policies.

I agree, conservatives and/or Republicans supporting a pro-amnesty candidate never makes sense.
