Middlesex prosecutor Joseph P. Kennedy III widely seen as the best hope to carry the torch of the legendary family dynasty to a new generation told the Herald last night he is leaving the door open to a run for Congress.
I just havent had the time to give it any thought, the type of careful consideration that it requires, Kennedy said outside Cambridge District Court. Ive always thought politics is an honorable profession. It demands that you give it careful thought before you jump into it. When I get the time to do that, Ill think about it, but were not there yet."
Kennedy the son of former U.S. Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II, grandson of Robert F. Kennedy and grandnephew of President John F. Kennedy was one of several Democrats whose name has emerged as a possible contender for U.S. Rep. Barney Franks seat after the 16-term congressman announced his retirement two days ago.

A lot of people want Barney’s seat.
Funny he would think politics was an “honorable profession” when all his relatives who were politicians were such dishonorable POS. Is telling though he thinks of it as a “profession” rather than a calling or public service.
If the election was held right now, he’d win hands down.
Doesn’t a Kennedy have to rape someone first to be considered a serious candidate and scion of the family?
Reminds me of cockroaches. They are constantly producing offspring
and they never go completely away.
Is this a dem thing? Is this how they keep their roaches in the house?
I do not know that much about Joe III.
Is he a stupid, drunken, leftist like his father?
It is Massachusetts after all.
Bawney Fag’s seat is wide open! LOL
Has a Kennedy apple ever fallen far from the tree?
It’s hard to be more corrupt than Barney Sachs but a Kennedy just might do it.

***Ive always thought politics is an honorable profession.***
Wrong answer!
In August 1973, a Jeep he was driving overturned, fracturing one of his brother David Kennedy's vertebrae, and permanently paralyzing David's girlfriend, Pam Kelley.[5] The police cited Kennedy with reckless driving and the judge temporarily suspended his driver's license.[1][5] The Kennedy family paid for Kelleys initial medical treatment and her continued care during the years following the accident.[6]
Then why the talk of Keating moving over to run in Frank's district? Some feel Kennedy would have an easier time of it running on the Cape.
Doesn’t someone check out headlines before they are published
That was his father. This kid wasn't born until 1980.
Joe III is much more like his grandfather RFK than he is his father Joe II who is little more than an angry, hate-filled twit who thinks he is entitled to the good life while badmouthing America and Americans.
But Joe III is also like Hillary Clinton in that he would have to become a carpetbagger to run for the seat Barney the Frank is vacating.
SOrry about that.
He’s young and still had time.
Is he a stupid, drunken, leftist like his father?
Has a Kennedy apple ever fallen far from the tree?
