Cain accuser stands by claim of longtime affair

WASHINGTON (AP) — An Atlanta businesswoman who has asserted she had a longstanding affair with Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain stood by her story Wednesday despite his denials, saying she was not proud to admit it.

"Our relationship was on and off for the last 13, 14 years," Ginger White said in a nationally broadcast interview. "This was not a consistent love affair that went on every day for the last 14 years, so he is correct when he made that statement."

But White also said she was "disappointed" that Cain had called her a "troubled Atlanta businesswoman."

Ginger White is not credible. An alleged 13-year sexual affair with no real physical evidence? If Cain took her to a prizefight in Las Vegas, there should be some record of that (plane or hotel reservations) somewhere. If this woman is, as she claims, 'being honest', then why does she have to keep saying that she's telling the truth? That should be self-evident.

Unfortunately, Cain has the predicament of not being able to answer her accusations chapter and verse because that would pretty much eat up all his time and badly distract from his campaign message. He has vehemently denied the accusation of an 'affair', although there may have been some kind of friendship involved. So what?

I view this as the DNC's attempt to smear Cain by using women he has worked with or known in some way and convincing them to slander him with outrageous lies, probably paying them well for doing so in a way that cannot be traced back to the DNC or Obama campaign. It has definitely damaged his momentum in the primary campaign but I do not believe these smears will stop Cain.

Until something solid is presented, she’s a lying female dog in my book.

So why hasn't Cain released the text messages he sent her or she sent him? I have no idea whether these accusations are true or not, but it would seem two people have access to those messages, yes?

I don't text myself, but do people actually hang onto them?

What did she gain by going public with her statements, even if some third party was going to spill the beans. Did it protect her? No. Did it forestall something something worse? Doubt it.

I guess if I were concerned about public involvement, I would not support a third party disclosure and it would merely be another allegation in the air. She certainly did not avoid being approached by the press in this disclosure.

So, I again state that I see no purpose for disclosure, even if there was another person that was going to tell on her.

My phone has a text message going back to late 2010 when I got it. If some crazy woman is texting you at 2:30 in the morning, you’d probably want to keep some record of it I’d imagine, especially if you’re running for President.

That Libya fiasco was flat out painful to watch.

I watched that and I disagree that it was a fiasco.

Lybya is fast on the way to becoming another Iran at best and Somali at worst.

Neil Cavuto sure teased the Cain interview a long time.
Herman didn’t actually get on the air until about 3:40pm central time. But once he was there, Neil had him on until the end of the show.

Although I am pleased with most of what Herman had to say, I am disappointed that he is at all saying he is reassessing anything.

His answer should be plainly and boldly, “I am NOT getting out because of a bunch of false character assassination attempts. I said I am In It To Win It, and I meant it!”.

What he told Neil was that he will decide by next week. I don’t like that answer.

Should be “Hell No I’m Not Quitting!”.

He did do a great job of saying his character is being attacked because he was doing so well and the political establishment fears him.

I am sure the interview will be on Fox’s website or YouTube.
There was a lot of ground covered and I really can’t do the interview justice here from memory.

cheers

I guess Cain didn’t read your book about how to carry on an extramarital affair.

"13 years of an alleged affair and as of yet not one piece of solid evidence"

IF Herman (Herb) Cain hit on this "woman", he should be filing a mega-millions lawsuit against his Optometrist, IMHO.

If some crazy woman is texting you at 2:30 in the morning

I had some crazy drunk woman calling me at 1:00 or 2:00 in the am every night for a few weeks - I'm sure she thought that I was someone else, but she wasn't coherent enough to spit out a name...... Made sure that my wife heard the voicemails (hey honey, get a load of this! hee hee hee....it's your girl-friend!) then I deleted them. No reason to hang on to them once I made sure Mrs WBill knew what was going on.

Random thought for the day? Cain's got his phone records, too. He could easily release them.

For you and me, that makes perfect sense. For a guy running for President, not so much.

Well, is texting more or less like email, in that you can delete them (and in fact should if you don’t want to clog your system)? And it was 4:30 a.m. Does texting wake you up from a sound sleep, unlike email?

Yeah and how and why she went and hired a lawyer when she is unemployed w kids and can’t pay rent? And another Democrat Obama supporting lawyer to boot.

No way in hell she just heard a rumor she was being outed (who knew anyway) so decided to come forward herself to clear her name by saying yes I was sleeping with this guy for years for nice hotel rooms and dinners. Some way to clear yourself.

Add to it she libeled and stalked someone else just this year and is broke and dishonest

Cain was just on Fox with Neil Cavuto and stated that he and his lawyers have put in a request for the alleged telecommunications that this obvious DNC operative claims there are.

Hey I could text, call, or otherwise contact one of Cain’s communication devices and then say “Hey, we had an affair, after all I called him 20 times a day!”. That has as much weight as this grifter democrat’s claim has.

Cain and his lawyers are on the case.

I can’t believe how gullible the American public is.
Anyone can falsely accuse anyone of anything.

I guess Americans really are too dumb to vote.

Why would anyone believe the same old game of asassinating the character of a leading conservative candidate?

So many Sheeple, so willing to lap up the crap the media-DNC-politcal cronies dish out. It’s disappointing to see the idiocy of the general public.

If we get Barky back in office or even a RINO, we are done. America will have voted itself to a continued slow death.

Very few women have a neck that stout. Did you see the photo of the lady bodybuilder who was her “business partner” for 15 years? The one that GW slandered and stalked?

That bodybuilder lady didn’t look female either.
