0bummer did renew the Bush tax cuts, but I don’t think that really counts.
Beer by case and smokes taxes up a buck since 1/20/09. Joe Six Pack is not happy.

Joe Six Pack sees the prices of beer, smokes, gasoline, and groceries are all up.
His paycheck is stretched as far as it can go.
Joe six pack feels lucky if he still has a job.
His pay is frozen, his hours have been cut back, and his insurance costs are up.
His net pay has more than likely declined.
Joe Six Pack has bothers and sisters and kids who are out of work.
Some of them may have moved in with him, or maybe he has moved in with them.
If Joe Six Pack owns a home, it has lost a lot of value.
If he pays rent, the rent has gone up.
Joe Six Pack has a worn out truck but can’t afford to replace it.
He hopes it keeps running so he can get back and forth to work.
Joe Six Pack can’t afford to take a day off from work, much less take a vacation.
He is treading water and he is running out of breath.
Joe Six Pack sees nothing in the future that is going to change to make things better.
The next 12 months are going to be very interesting times.
