NEW YORK — President Barack Obama is reassuring Jewish supporters that his administration is committed to the security of Israel. He says: “We don’t compromise when it comes to Israel’s security.”
Obama was speaking to a group of campaign contributors at the Upper East Side home of Jack Rosen, a prominent businessman and chairman of the American Jewish Congress. Obama commented after Rosen mentioned “concerns” within the Jewish community about the U.S.-Israeli relationship.

As one of the many Jews on this website, and one who has been here since 1998, I am offended by your gross generalization. You are going to see how wrong you are in November.
Yeah, and the Jews of Europe believed it when they were told that they were going to rest camps, to work in the fresh air and frolic in the sunshine.

No. he won’t compromise but that word cuts two ways. He won’t compromise on the beliefs and determinations that arise from his Islamic heritage and/or identity.
On this question I would love to be wrong in November, but based on voting history, I won’t be. Unfortunately my generalization is about 80 or 90 percent accurate.

Like I said, I would rather be wrong. But given the voting history of American Jews, what makes you so sure? When was the last time Jewish Americans voted for a Republican or Conservative for President?

I don’t deny that there are conservative Jews, just not very many of them. And American Jews in particular are slow to come to the defense of Israel. The vast majority of American Jews will vote for Obama - to their shame. The same Obama who works every day to sell out Israel. Obama takes Jewish votes in 2012 for granted - he knows he owns them. And he is right. Sorry if you don’t like it, but it’s true. Look at my posts on this topic: I have said I want to be wrong, but come November I won’t be.
Now stop with the name calling, and show me factually where I am wrong. I am glad you are on the conservative side, now go sway American Jews to vote against Obama. You will have the tremendous satisfaction of calling me a pig, and proving me wrong. I will gladly take that. And BTW whose side do you think I am on?
So bitch about me, and watch your fellow Jews help sell the future of this country and of Israel down the river. I think my description of the voting behavior of American Jews is pretty apt.
You address none of the things I assert about American Jews. I have come to expect a little more intellectual heft from my Jewsih acquaintances.
